[WINDOWS] Installazione multipla...

Premessa: sono il solito ignorante...

Ho Winzozz98 che se ne sta tranquillo e beato su C: ...voglio installare Winzozz2000 sul bellissimo e formattato D: ...come faccio?
Ho provato a far partire il setup da win98, a un certo punto (subito dopo aver copiato i file per l'installazione) interviene Norton e mi dice che il setup stesso sta tentando di scrivere sul record di avvio di C: ...perchè? Che devo fare??

Sta semplicemente installando il suo loader sul MBR.

Tecnicamente dovrebbe riconoscere automaticamente la presenza di 98 e aggiungertelo al menu del bootloader, in caso non lo facesse una volta installato Win2000 utilizzando Bootpart è possibile aggiungere al bootloader la relativa voce.

In questi casi però è meglio andarci coi piedi di piombo, non si può essere del tutto sicuri che funzionerà...

...ma non sarebbe nemmeno un gran problema, buttalo via quello schifo di 98!



Quando ho iniziato ad usare 2000 mi sono reso conto (lo sapevo già, ma questa è stata la conferma) che tutta la serie 9x/Me era una schifezza immonda, checché se ne dica negli ultimi tre anni mi sono praticamente dimenticato dell'esistenza dei crash e dei blue screen of death (segue un bello SGRATtone per scaramanzia ).

Grazie, korn... è andato tutto ok...

Non capisco una cosa... win2000 mi ha installato la maggior parte delle periferiche da sé... senza che comparissero schermate di installazione driver, ecc... li ha copiati da win98? Siamo sicuri che vada tutto bene?

Da win98 non penso proprio, non sarebbero compatibili... probabilmente aveva già i driver necessari (anche se non aggiornati) nel cd di installazione... a quando risalgono le periferiche? E' un un win2000 "base" o una di quelle versioni con service pack vari già inclusi?

Comunque, ti suggerirei di aggiornare tutti i driver, così non ci pensi più!

É un win2000 senza service pack... le periferiche sono - per la maggior parte - più vecchie... epoca win98... infatti tutti i dischi driver che ho non hanno driver per win2000... cercherò su internet.
