visto che ieri ho sgamato un infame che usava il mio PC come shell remota , qualcuno saprebbe indicarmi un firewall efficace e sicuro?

Io uso Zone Alarm, ho provato anche Sygate, e reputo Zone Alarm il migliore: meno rompipalle e svolge cmq il suo lavoro come si deve.

Sono entrambi freeware.

zone alarm a me dava un po' di problemi quando avevo messo il 2000...
attualmente uso kerio ( www.kerio.com ) e secondo me e' meglio di zone alarm...

Dimenticavo: prova tutti quelli che vuoi, ma evita come la peste quello mcafee....ha un casino di personalizzazioni, ma sono stato una settimana al telefono con l'assistenza tecnica e non sono riusciti a capire perchè bloccava tutte le connessioni di rete locale, nonostante fossero inserite come "safe" :sbonk:
