gia da ieri li.. ;)
cmq non li hanno messi ancora dappertutto.. manca il terzo piano.. ;)

per quanto riguarda rendere sicura la wifi:
- NON basta mettere dei mac address fissi.. dato che anche un bambino riuscirebbe a spoofarli.. ma cmq aiuta.. quindi fatelo
- NON basta disabilitare il dhcp.. dato che anche un bambino riesce a sniffare del traffico e capire la sottorete ecc.. ma cmq aiuta quindi fatelo! ;)
- NON basta abilitare il WEP sia pure a 256 bit.. dato che tutti sanno che il wep e' un protocolo che e' nato insicuro.. hanno fatto una cosa ingnobile crittograficamente parlando e lo si riesce a craccare in circa un orette (20 minuti per una chiave a 64 bit).. ma anche questo aiuta quindi abilitatelo..

conclusione? le tre cose non garantiscono nulla.. abilitatele cmq tutte e tre perche aiutano a rendere la vostra rete MENO appetibile rispetto a quella del vicino agli occhi degli smaliziati.. cmq.. come risolvere la cosa?
semplice: usare o:
- IPSEC (do per scontato lo conosciate) sopra il canale tra i portatili wireless e il loro gw internet! (dato che non e' l'AP stesso)
- 802.1x (molto carino imho) sempre come ipsec chiave pubblica e privata.. certificato etc.. sempre sopra la connessione tra portatile wifi e gw internet.. saltronde in windows xp e' di default implementato e pure nei vari win 2000 con service pack etc..
- VPA volendo.. ma a quel punto 802..1x
- OPENVPN o qualsiasi altra VPN.. stessa cosa di IPSEC in fondo.. magari pero' piu' facile da configurare..

insomma DOVETE metterci sopra un altro protocollo di crittografia!! assolutamente!!

ma prima che le ditte medio piccole (le grandi non penso siano cosi pazze da adottare wifi in questo periodo) recepiscano queste considerazioni e le attuino.. ce ne passera' di acqua sotto ai ponti.. daltronde il problema piu' grosso della sicurezza informatica e' e sara' sempre l'ignoranza in materia!! ;)

cmq notavo che ci sono due cavi di rete che arrivano.. probabilmente il secondo per ridonadnaza nel caso no vada il primo.. cmq.. l'alimentazione?? mi pare manchi il modulino power over ethernet.. dove l#han nascosto? altrimenti senza alimentazione la vedo dura che quel AP in foto funzioni!! ;) lol
quando attaccheranno la scatoletta del PoE se ne riparla..

Vi scrivo dall'appartamento che è questa mia camera d'albergo 18 stelle++. Questa notte kismet ha raccolto qualche palata di Mb dagli AP disseminati in tutto l'albergo.. ma senza grossi risultati: subnets separate PER OGNI CLIENT, traffico cifrato da certificati IPSEC, gateway blindato. Un buon lavoro, davvero. Questa è una rete wireless seria, probabilmente la prima che vedo.
