 Esercizio Selective Repeat

Si consideri un protocollo di livello Data Link che usa un approccio Selective Repeat per inviare frame su un canale in rame della lunghezza di 8 Km, avente banda di 16Mbps. Quale delle seguenti dimensioni di frame produce un maggiore utilizzo di rete se la finestra è di 5 frame?

A) 1280 bit
B) 320 bit
C) 85 bit
D) 426 bit (per lei è questa)

ma se calcolo Tp e Tx e quindi a... U=K/1+2a?????????O con questo approccio è diverso???Grazie in anticipo raga ;)

devi ricordarti che Selective repeat ha k=(max_Seq +1)/2=5+1/2=3=k
poi calcoli tp; tx non puoi calcolarlo perchè devi trovare la tagla del frame quindi sostituendo frame_size/banda in:

U=k* tx/tx + 2tp e risolvendo viene f=(2*banda*tp)/k=426,66

se indica 5 frame vuoldire k=5.
con selective repeate i numeri di sequenza su una finestra di 5 frame saranno di 10.
quindi k=3 è sbagliato è k=5

no non è cosi!!!a parte che se fai il calcolo con 5 il risultato non torna.....ma cmq con selective repeat k si calcola con la formula indicata sopra...

Sono daccordo con poi1969 il testo da già la dimensione della finestra che quindi coincide con K!!
i numeri di sequenza saranno quindi 10 con max_Seq=9 (MA NON E' RICHIESTO)

guardate che bombardini non ha ragione .Ha ragione poi_1969.
K e' uguale a 5.K e' la dimensione della finestra.E nel problema viene gia' data.
l'incognita nel problema e' la frame size. Con K = 5 il risultato torna.
