esiste un programma che codifichi un file in un codie ottico di lunghezza
qualsiasi.

per intenderci come un codice a barre 2D


ma per 3/4 pagine A4 stampate a 300dpi per intenderci.

qualche pazzo l'avrà fatto sicuramente, ma non è neanche difficile farselo da sè... basta avere un minimo di libreria con funzioni grafiche, riempire una matrice di bool leggendo il file bit per bit e convertire la matrice in immagine assegnando bianco e nero ai valori di verità, ad esempio... ogni matrice sarà una pagina e file lunghi verranno codificati su più matrici.

insomma, qualcosa del genere, non mi sembra niente di impossibile! DIY! :)

A mio avviso è abbastanza semplice, però prima della trasformazione applicherei un algoritmo di compressione del file originale, per ridurre le dimensioni del codice a barre. Eventualmente anche lossy, compatibilmente col tipo di dato da trattare e la sua destinazione.

a parte il fatto che si puo usare uuencode->stampa->scansione->ocr->uudecode

ma con i data-matrix viene piu carino ;) ;) ;) ;)

Mi lasciava perplesso il procedimento inverso per eventuali errori dello scanner dovuti ad imperfezioni sui fogli, polvere e quant'altro... non perchè fosse infattibile la cosa...

beh certo stampare a 300dpi con l'informazione a livello di pixel produrrebbe un backup piuttosto fragilino... una macchiolina e adios amigos... credo che ogni bit vada codificato in quadratini più grossi di un pixel in stampa, tipo 5x5...
