vedo che molti si sono interessati o addirittura sono in procinto di acquistare un MacMini...

personalmente tra le due ultime novità apple (l'altra è l'iPod shuffle) la trovo quella più significativa, che propone svariati concetti rivoluzionari ed innovativi.

su tutte, trovo molto apprezzabile l'attuale approccio di apple verso le fascie entry-level ( a cominciare dall'ibook), cioè di proporre prodotti che non sono solo delle versioni ridotte dei modelli top, ma che hanno una identità propria e caratteristiche di tutto rispetto.

L'intenzione come visto gia' in altri post da qualcuno di voi e di acquistare un fiammante MacMini

versione G4 1,42 Ghz
512 Mb Ram (standard 256)
80 Gb HD
superdrive (standard mast CD lettore DVD)
Bluetooth + wifi (standard nessuna delle due)

questa la configurazione cui pensavo.

Qualcuno che ha gia il MAC sa darmi qualche indicazione per orientarmi.

ad esempio,
se su PC so' che con 256 Mb di ram ci vado stretto per alcune applicazioni con XP. e che con 128 Mb sono al limite per far girare XP. qui non ho termini di paragone.
stesso discorso per tutte le altre caratteristiche HD , processore, ecc...

OS X non mi sembra sia un "mangiarisorse" , ma...
...insomma datemi le vostre impressioni di utilizzo.

io ho un ibook.

allora, direi che l'unico punto fermo e indiscusso sia la ram: scordati di farti bastare quella di default ed espandila fin da subito. questa è una regola FISSA. se puoi infilaci direttamente un banco da 512Mb...

per tutto il resto invece il discorso è relativo: dipende tutto da cosa devi farci e dalle priorità. la differenza tra un g4 1,2 e un 1,4 si aggira più o meno alla differenza matematica di clock (+16,6% circa), quindi non c'è un abisso ma se ti serve potenza vai sul 1,4.
per l'hd, tieni conto che empiricamente sul mio ibook OSX + svariati software + cazzate varie occupano in tutto un 20 di giga. però anche lì dipende e potresti sentire il bisogno dell'80gb.
il modulo BT ti serve solo per interfacciarti ai cellulari e per alcune periferiche senza fili (tipo la tastiera).

cmq, meglio avere più ram che altro. la ram è un'esigenza, il resto sono preferenze

alura, la ram io ne ho 512 per ora sul mio ibook, e va egragiamente pero piu ce ne è meglio è....occhio che sul sito apple costa molto di piu!!!

per la velocità 1.2 Ghz non mi è MAI sebrat o lento!!! anzi !!! per lo ha vedi l tue esigenze... e i costi con un hd eventualemente esterno!!

Fantastico! Io sono un estimatore del mac e so solo ora dell'uscita del MacMini, mi sembra una notizia magnifica tanto che sto pensando anche io di acquistarne 1! E' bellissimo!
