[VIRUS] Quando format c: non serve...

Una mia amica afferma di essere stata infettata da un virus... non me ne intendo di virus e lei nemmeno, comunque mi ha detto che ha un nome simile a SARS (come l'influenza).
Il fatto è che anche dopo la formattazione il disco rigido appare mezzo pieno (o mezzo vuoto) ed è impossibile reinstallare windows (una volta digitato il comando SETUP e pigiato sul pulsante di avvio il sistema si incaz** e manda messaggi in cui dice IMPOSSIBILE INSTALLARE QUESTO E QUELLO. CONTROLLARE CHE IL SISTEMA NON SIA AFFETTO DA VIRUS INFLUENZALI DI QUESTO E QUEL TIPO).
É possibile che un virus spu**ani l'HD?

credo che sia possibile che riesca a sputtanarlo... cmq penso esista una soluzione! e poi tu sei ottimista.....

Prova ad eliminare la partizione e l'MBR del disco, poi ricrea la partizione e installa il SO; spesso i virus infettano l'MBR.

O un vecchio computer che monta ancora HD con interfaccia ESDI.
Da quel che leggevo su questo tipo di hd, un virus riusciva a modificare i puntatori dei file presenti nella FAT, riuscendo a far andare a fine corsa le testine facendogli prendere una bella botta. Il tutto si è risolto con l'avvento dell'interfaccia EIDE e di un ammortizzatore a fine corsa. Non chiedetemi nè nome nè se è vero al 100%

L'altro virus che conosco che potrebbe essere considerato come "danneggiatore" dell'hardare è il CIH, che modifica il bios (ma oramai anche questo è ultrasuperato).

Insomma non esistono punto

Ok. Grazie... giusto una precisazione: per eliminare l'MBR devo usare FDISK? É un'opzione che mi danno dopo aver eliminato la partizione oppure la devo andare a cercare in qualche altro modo.

cmq la storia che ha spiegato fly, delle testine dell'hd, l'avevo sentita anch'io.
per il resto io ho sempre saputo che i virus non possono assolutamente danneggiare l'hw.

Allora... dopo fdisk /mbr la situazione è questa: l'HD non viene più visto... mi spiego meglio: sul pc di questa mia amica l'hd non viene più rilevato. Io mi dico: "Beh, certo: se non ha nessuna partizione è ovvio che non lo si possa usare...". Allora me lo faccio dare, lo piazzo come slave e avvio il mio sistemino. All'avvio si odono dei preoccupanti e gracchianti rumorini provenienti dal settore degli HDs (simile al gracchìo tipico del floppy), non me ne preoccupo più di tanto e vedo che il BIOS mi rileva il nuovo disco etichettandolo con un simpatico MATRIX A8 QUALCOS'ALTRO... ma... e c'è un ma (se no che starei a scrivervi tutta questa roba?), subito dopo averci pensato un po' su, il sistema butta fuori questa scritta che trovo di pessimo gusto:

...torco un po' il naso e procedo nel mio demenziale tentativo. Il problema è che quella scritta aveva ragione: fdisk non mi permette di cambiare disco, perché per lui non c'è che un unico disco nel mio pc... MA CE NE SONO DUE?!?! Naturalmente nemmeno gestione periferiche è a conoscenza del fatto che gli hard disk siano due.

Ora, le domande a voi guru:
- PERCHÉ TUTTO QUESTO???
- sento in cuor mio che c'entra qualcosa l'MBR... se quel disco non ha più un MBR bisognerà ridonarglielo, nevvero? E come?
- Winzozz è una sorta di demiurgo di un credo idealista, sicché tutto ciò che non esiste per Esso non esiste proprio?

Direi che si e' fottuto l'hard disk, non e' un virus.

O al massimo si e' rotto mentre era infettato dal virus.

scarica dal sito del produttore dell'HD il programmino di diagnostica.
