perche se da shell, sia da root che da utente, se chiedo $PATH alla fine mi viene detto:

No such file or directory

guarda che nn volevo prenderti in giro :)
avevo paura di scrivere una str...ata :P

con "echo arg" (ma potevi usare un altro comando di "visualizzazione" ad es. cat, less) mostri arg su stdout .. in questo caso arg viene interpretato prima dalla shell che te lo sostituisce con il path che quindi viene mostrato a video :)
