Con la mia Debian Sid ho ancora un po' di casini..off.
Riassumendo:
- ndiswrapper dai repository debian, visto che gli acx100 non sono supportati da wpa_supplicant..
- wpa_supplicant 0.3.8, anch'esso dai repository debian
- config (copiato da qualcuno di voi) :

Da quel poco che ho capito il casino nasce da "skip - no WPA/RSN IE", allora ho provato a compilarmi wpa_supplicant, sempre 0.3.8.

La cosa carina è che il wpa_* compilato da me con il medesimo file di configurazione del deb non funziona, l'output di cui sopra è stato ottenuto con:
- secondo conf (pure questo copiato da qualcuno di voi...) :

Un'ulteriore cosa carina è che wpa_cli con il wpa_su* compilato
non funziona perchè in /var/run/wpa_supplicant non c'è nessuna socket per comunicare (problema minore, sarà qualche parametro di compilazione), mentre con il deb è tutto ok..ok nel senso che wpa_cl i funziona ma il suo output, che non ho sotto mano.., è qualcosa del tipo nessuna chiave per ogni parametro...

Qualche samaritano è disposto a darmi una mano?
(Mi sono consumato i sì detti, a usare il wi-fi con Debian tramite VMware...off)

quello non sembra essere un grosso problema: l'ho riscontrato anche io con il passaggio da slack 10 a slack 10.1.
Una volta commentata la riga è andato tutto (se non ricordo male :D, domani controllo e ti do la conferma).

Hai inizializzato la scheda prima di lanciare WPA?
Hai controllato chei n /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless.conf ci sia una riga con scritto WPA=y ?

La scheda è ok, il problema è che Debian ha i init.d, dove di rc.wireless.conf non c'è traccia, quindi non so dove mettere la riga incriminata (was WAP=y).
Domanda (non conosco slack), ma rc.wireless.conf server per la configurazione automatica delle interfacce wireless (una sorta di /etc/network/interfaces di Debian, e poi giochi con ifup, ifdown) o non centra un emerito?

eh... hai ragione..

In sostanza /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless.conf è il file di configurazione di /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless, che è il file specifico per il wireless.

Sotto deb /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless corrisponde più o meno al file /etc/init.d/networking

Purtroppo non so aiutarti più di tanto. Hai provato a cambiare versione di ndiswrapper e/o di wpa?

Nope, cmq adesso scarico la slack, provo a configurare il tutto sperando di capire come adattare le varie menate alla cara Debian

Che i driver per la famiglia a cui appartiene la mia scheda sono ancora incompleti ed instabili... anzi, a dire il vero non riesco neanche a farli funzionare!
