[NIUBBO]Brand new Mac user! :)

Essendo da stamane fortunato possessore di un iBook G3 regalatomi dalla mia bella, ed essendo completamente estraneo a questo mondo, volevo sapere principalmente 3 cose:

1 - Esiste Microsoft Visual C++ per Mac? In caso contrario mi sapreste indicare un buon IDE per codare in C++ (o almeno un compilatore... )?

2 - Programmi da avere assolutamente?

3 - Qualche sito di riferimento (soprattutto perchè vorrei formattare tutto ed affiancare al MacOSX la mia amata Slackware ) ?

Che io sappia visual c per mac non esiste.
Nell'installazione standard di mac os x c'è Xcode che è un sistema simile a visual c.
Un compilatore è la shell: Terminale...

Programmi da avere sicuramente (ovviamente dipende da cosa fai con il computer):

1- il + famoso IDE è x-code, della stessa apple e dato in bundle con OSX10.3, e mi pare sia liberamante scaricabile dal sito, se non sbaglio. è un IDE multilanguage molto avanzato, io lo uso da poco ma mi pare proprio una bella cosa.

2- beh, la risposta è il classico 'dipende da cosa devi fare'... il primo che mi viene in mente è toast della roxio (programma per masterizzare che nel mondo mac è l'equivalente di nero). poi dai un'okkiata al progetto fink:

3- per il dualboot affiancando linux ad OSX c'è yaboot

che viene incluso in molte distro per ppc, come ad esempio yellowdog, una distro basata su fedora-RPM appositamente realizzata per ppc
