Io lo ho passato l'appello scorso e ancora non riesco a crederci!!! Che :sedere: !!!
L'esame non è di quelli facili, però ti posso assicurare che i docenti hanno allargato le maglie di mooolto rispetto agli anni passati.
Il grosso della selezione avviene allo scritto, anche perchè è strutturato in modo tale che se ti blocchi su uno dei primi esercizi non puoi più proseguire. Durante la prova si possono consultare libri e appunti e questo costituisce un grossissimo aiuto per quelli che, come me, faticano a ricordare le formule. Gli esercizi, comunque, se li inventa De Falco e sono molto diversi per impostazione da quelli che trovi sul Mood (all'orale ho sentito chiedere esercizi presi parola per parola dal libro, piuttosto). Anche se consegni un compito incompleto o con errori di calcolo, se non hai preso grosse cantonate vieni ammesso all'orale. Attento però ai particolari (notazioni matematiche, ecc) perchè De Falco li cura con una precisione maniacale!
De Falco ha ribadito più volte durante il semestre (mi risulta che lo faccia ogni anno, comunque) che l'orale sarebbe stato una discussione dello scritto, ma NON è vero. Certo, quasi sempre partono dagli errori che hai fatto nel compito, ma poi ti possono chiedere qualsiasi cosa e in generale lo fanno. De Falco è quello più propenso a divagare però ti aiuta molto, mentre Apolloni e la Zanaboni si mantengono di più sugli argomenti del compito ma sono più severi. Con Apolloni, purtroppo, ci sono anche delle oggettive difficoltà nel comunicare. Ho notato che i docenti tendono ad assegnare voti medio-alti (da 24 in su) oppure a bocciare. Credo che dipenda dal fatto che le prove orali durano molto (almeno mezz'ora) ed è chiaro che, dai e dai, chi è "border line" cede al panico. Non ho notato differenze nelle prove orali degli studenti del vecchio e nuovo ordinamento.
Infine, non posso fare confronti con "istituzioni" perchè sono del vecchio ordinamento ma posso dire che analisi 1 era più difficile, per un motivo in particolare: all'orale di analisi chiedevano sostanzialmente un malloppo di dimostrazioni a memoria, mentre per quella che è stata la mia esperienza a cps è sufficiente conoscere gli enunciati dei teoremi.

Togliere l'orale di cps? Purtroppo, mi sembra difficile: De Falco in più occasioni ha ribadito che è all'orale che "si vede se uno ha studiato"...

Intendevo dire il contrario, cioe' che non li fanno prima di ogni scritto. Da quello che so solitamente li fanno solo a fine corso per l'esame di febbraio. Ho notato che quest'anno, se non sbaglio li abbiano fatti anche ad aprile, ma non e' una prassi abituale.

Appunto: secondo me in questo modo fanno solo andare nel pallone la gente. E'sempre la solita storia: i matematici (un nome per tutti: Zanco) non si rendono conto che solo per loro la matematica è una ragione di vita e che per tutti gli altri è soltanto uno strumento. De Falco è una specie di filosofo della statistica e si illude che anche gli studenti godano a parlare di distribuzioni e variabili casuali... niente di più sbagliato! :_(
