[hardware] problema visualizzazione su monitor

Il problema e' il seguente mi hanno portato un vecchio pII ho provato a collegarlo a un monitor ma dopo averlo acceso non mi visualizza nulla continuando a lampeggiare come se il pc non fosse acceso ho provato a cambiare la scheda video e a montarlo pezzo per pezzo ma non riesco ad arrivare a una soluzione

potrebbe essere colpa del monitor che ha una risoluzione troppo alta: prova ad impostarla ad 640X480 oppure ad 800X600 e poi ad attaccare il vecchio pc.
