qualcuno ha idea di come si risolvano le domande inerenti alle trasmissioni satellitari ? in particolare quelle che confrontano la latenza di un canale realizzato in fibra con la latenza di una comunicazione satellitare e chiedono a che altezza va posto il satellite affinchè la latenza non superi quella del canale in fibra

Comunicazione satellitare:
 Satelliti geostazionari - fino a 35.000 km, tempo di latenza di 270 ms
 Satelliti orbitali medi - fino a 15.000 km, tempo di latenza di 35-85 ms
 Satelliti orbitali bassi - fino a 5.000 km, tempo di latenza di 1-7 ms

Non ricordo bene quanto sia il tempo di latenza della fibra, mi pare 6ms al kmq...
Ad occhio quindi i satelliti orbitali bassi sono da preferire alla fibra ottica perchè hanno un tempo di latenza minore...

io ho letto sul tanenbaum che le fibre ottiche hanno un ritardo di 5 microsec/km.
io faccio il seguente ragionamento (sbagliato perchè i risultati non coincidono) per esempio se le stazioni sono distanti 20000 km calcolo il ritardo complessivo sommando il ritardo di cui sopra(5 microsec/km * 20000) con (300000km/s)/(20000km). Ottengo un risultato (ad esempio un num a caso 1,5 sec).
ora devo trovare a quanti mt di altezza deve stare il satellite.. è li che mi perdo ..

ps ragazzi ma voi usate altro oltre alle slide? Io mi sono cercato un bel po' di aggiornamenti sul web e ho anche usato il libro consigliato, ma i risultati non brillano... :(
