 [HOW-TO] Attivare lo spazio web del SILAB

Allora, partiamo con calma...
Visto che e' stato chiesto da qualcuno posto un how-to, cosi' magari neo puo' metterlo in Sticky. Se qualcuno ha domande/problemi puo' contattarmi tranquillamente.


  1. Ok, per prima cosa dovete registrarvi qui mi raccomando, scegliete una password che ricorderete, altrimenti per ripristinare l'account dovrete andare in sala macchine! A me e' capitato... :oops:
    Sempre da quel sito potrete gestire tutti i database che utilizzerete tramite interfaccia web, le operazioni possibili sono quelle di creazione e cancellazione. Per ogni database creato vi viene fornito un comando per gestire (creare tabelle, query, ecc.) il database stesso, tramite shell linux.
  2. Fatto questo, recatevi nella vostra home Linux, li' troverete una cartella chiamata public_html. E' qui che finiranno i vostri file e le cartelle del sito. Dovrete cambiare i permessi di accesso sia alla vostra home che a questa cartella. Per chi e' pratico di chmod i permessi da impostare sono: 711 sulla home e 755 su public_html. Se non conoscete bene chmod potete cambiare i permessi da KDE, come se fossero cartelle di windows, facendo cosi': andate con konqueror sulla cartella, fate click col tasto destro sulla cartella e cliccate su property, poi su permission. Spuntate tutte le caselle tranne quelle della colonna "Special". Fate propagare i permessi anche ai "figli" della cartella.
  3. Piazzate il file index.html nella cartella public_html.
  4. Voila' il sito e' raggiungibile all'indirizzo http://www.silab.dsi.unimi.it/~<tua login silab>, ad esempio http://www.silab.dsi.unimi.it/~dd123456

No, devi "solo" imparare PHP :D

Il web server installato e' sicuramente Apache, ma non so che versione, cmq manda una mail ai tutor, loro ti sapranno dire...

Per il blog ad esempio: in rete ne esistono a centinaia free e solo da copiare nella cartella del tuo sito. Li puoi personalizzare come vuoi, e dentro ci trovi un Readme che spiega come fare...
