mettiamola così: "Beat It" è uno dei brani più belli, carismatici e potenti che io conosca, e il fatto che Van Halen suoni in quel brano non fa che aumentare il suo valore, elevando il brano dal rango di "branetto" pop...

il punto e' che con quei nomi lì a suonarmi accanto divento un fenomeno pure io che non so suonare..

Io non sto dicendo che non abbia fatto dei bei pezzi, qualcosa piace pure a me. Pero' da qui a definirlo Dio sceso in terra mi pare ce ne passi.

c'è del bello anche nel pop: la musica è bella tutta, se fatta con eleganza, passione e cazzutaggine

ammetto che MJ si sia perso negli anni, ma i primi album sono letteralmente oro colato ("Smooth Criminal" l'anno rispolverata di recente: cosa fa MALE quel riff? )

ma una "Thriller"... "Bad"... "Billy Jean"... sono pezzi di storia, per quanto pop. non vi piacciono? siate sinceri?

Guarda, ti parlo col cuore in mano: i primi due pezzi che hai citato dal mio punto di vista sono addirittura imbarazzanti... quando ne sento l'inizio mi viene la pelle d'oca e cambio subito canale (radio o tele, dipende...).
Te lo giuro, non sto scherzando.
Come ho giá detto, questa reazione non mi capita con tutto il pop, non generalizziamo: Oasis, U2, The Verve, la Aguilera... tutta gente che comunque compare nella mia playlist con qualche canzone; ma MJ proprio NO! Come dice una mia amica: "Se potessi, appena inizia a fare quei suoi balletti del ca**o lo taglierei in due con una raffica di mitra!" (Non l'ho detta io, non prendetevela con me! )

É vero, ho dimenticato di specificare: i nomi che ho citato non li ho citati xché penso siano particolarmente validi tecnicamente o compositivamente barocchi, ma semplicemente perché hanno fatto delle cose che mi sono piaciute, e anche molto! (anche questo vuol dire saper comporre, IMHO: fare qualcosa che piace, banalmente "bello" da ascoltare...certo, sono 2 visioni differenti della stessa arte)
MJ no, pur avendo dei mostri di tecnica al suo fianco...ok?

non discuto sui gusti, ma come abilità strumentistica li reputo vicini allo zero

quanto all'originalità, se proprio devo sentire certe sonorità mi ascolto i Beatles, che almeno (al tempo) erano originali!

x Lazerphea: secondo me, sotto ogni aspetto MJ è superiore a tutto il resto dello sciibile pop esistito ed esistente. passi il ballo, ma anche vocalmente è una vera ira di dio.
