Questo succede perché i prezzi delle sigarette sono troppo alti. Se si vendessero ad un prezzo abbastanza basso da non rendere conveniente nessuna attività criminale il problema nemmeno sussisterebbe... poi chi si vuole bruciare i polmoni liberissimo di farlo, basta che non costringe altri a seguirlo nella tomba.

e secondo te il prezzo giusto quale sarebbe?
E pensi che lo stesso principio si possa applicare agli stupefacenti in genere (pesanti e non), dove il fattore dipendenza dovrebbe costringere lo Stato ad un controllo assai maggiore di quello che viene applicato al tabacco?

Non mi chiedere di fare prezzi... lo sai bene che dipendono da tantissimi fattori e non è questa la sede. Io mi limito solo a dire che il proibizionismo attuale ha fallito su ogni cosa a cui è stato applicato... se la droga fosse legalizzata almeno i drogati potrebbero essere tenuti più sotto controllo, con tutti i vantaggi che ne verrebbero. La situazione può solo migliorare rispetto allo schifo che c'è oggi, ma con tutti i perbenisti ipocriti che circolano ci dubito....

l'esempio non calza
spero riesci a vedere anche tu una certa differenza tra la vendita di un prodotto non dissimile da altri commercializzati sotto il monopolio di stato (non ho voglia di star a ribadire il concetto sui danni da tabacco e marijuana) e estorcere soldi ai commercianti

vero, non credo che nemmeno legalizzando si riuscirebbe a far sparire il traffico illegale, pero' ridimensionerebbe enormemente il problema
questo credo sia palese, no?
e probabilmente ridurrebbe anche il numero di consumatori di droghe leggere
e abbasserebbe anche i consumatori di quelle pesanti (per il discorso della sovrapposizione dei mercati)

certo, resta sempre il discorso etico, se e' giusto o meno legalizzare cose simili
effettivamente mi piacerebbe una volta tanto vedere i politici affrontare la questione in maniera oggettiva, senza falsi moralismi o perbenismi, ragionare sui pro e sui contro, pero' temo sia impossibile

E come? Visto che proibendolo non lo si risolve di sicuro... io non capisco come si fa ad essere così certe di argomenti così complessi senza avere mai provato prima. Boh e andiamo avanti con i moralismi vari... che andremo molto lontano...

Guarda che il contrabbando di sigarette praticamente non esiste più.
