ciaoo qualcuno ha provato o è riuscito ad installare pixie su mac? io ho mac ma l'ho installato sulla partizione con win xp, perchè l'installazione e l'utilizzo con mac os x mi sembra 1 po' più compliacata...qualcuno ci ha provato?

ciao!...fino a pochi giorni fa avevo lo stesso problema....

ti copio qui parte di questa guida!

Pixie si installa lanciando l'eseguibile.

Una volta installato verificate di avere le variabili e i percorsi di sistema corretti:
Andate sul Pannello di Controllo (in modalità classica) selezionate
Sistema/
Impostazioni avanzate (Solo su VIsta)/
TAB Avanzate/
PULSANTE Variabili d'ambiente

Nelle variabili di sistema editate quella che si chiama Path e tra le variabili, intervallate dal ";" verificate che ci sia

CODICE
C:\Program Files\Pixie\bin

o

CODICE
C:\Programmi\Pixie\bin

se avete Windows in ITA.

Attenzione che di suo Pixie avrebbe potuto settare la variabile in Path con $PIXIEHOME$, a me dava problemi così, perciò scrivete il percorso completo.

Dopodichè verificate che esistano altre variabili sue, ovvero:

Code:
PIXIEHOME --- C:/Program Files/Pixie

SHADERS --- %PIXIEHOME%\shaders


Date l'ok e chiudete tutto.



Prova cosi! e dimmi se funziona!

Poi per farlo andare, apri il cmd e prima compili lo shader con:
sdrc NOMEFILE.sl

poi fai andare il rib con:
rndr NOMEFILE.rib -d

;)

Bastava cercare la mia guida risalente all'anno scorso.

be tanto per cominciare è
code:
./configure

con il "punto"

supponendo che hai la cartella "tiff-3.8.2" sul Desktop apri il Terminale e digiti
code:
cd /Users/nomeutente/Desktop/tiff-3.8.2/
./configure
make
sudo make install


dove ovviamente "nomeutente" è il nome dell'utente corrente (ovvero quello che vede la cartella tiff sul desktop)

per far girare pixie su ubuntu avete bisogno delle seguenti dipendenze: http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/hardy/graphics/pixie

installare manualmente le librerie fltk1.3 dal sito www.fltk.org, la versione delle synaptic non va bene, sembra che non attivi le GL.

 Aiuto pixie su Vista è lentissimo e da errore

Ciao a tutti,
ho bisogno di una mano per Pixie su Vista. Ho installato tutto(anche le variabili d'ambiente), l'unico problema è che quando dò l'esecuzione mi da questo errore:
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Pleas contact the application's support team for more information."

Ho provato a disistallarlo e rinstallarlo, ma niente!!
Qualcuno mi può aiutare?

io ho settato i paths per xp correttamente, ma aprendo gli shader mi dice sempre "FATAL: unable to open input file: xxxxx.sl"

il comando rndr funziona, ma l'elemento rappresentato è gigantesco e la finestra limitata

ho preso come esempi i files del libro "Essential Renderman"

sapete darmi qualche dritta?
