ti ringrazio per il consiglio, ma ho già provato e purtroppo non funziona... ed in effetti una sua logica c'è.

Nel senso che ci deve essere un errore nel modo in cui ho inserito le classi e quindi il compilatore non riesce ad accedere.
Però lui cerca prima nella cartella corrente (ad es. dove ci sono gli esercizi) e poi nelle altre che trova nel classpath.
Quindi se è indicato - <cartella corrente>; <miacartella> ; <altra cartella> - in effetti le cerca le classi, e le trova anche, solo che mi dà errore e non ho capito il motivo...

Ma, tanto per sapere, tu come le hai scompattate? Hai fatto extract o hai una creato prima una cartella (con che nome?...) ?
E poi come hai richiamato le classi nell'esercizio?

allora io ho salvato il file.jar nella cartella degli esercizi del silab e poi con winzip le ho scompattate nella stessa cartella e ho lasciato dentro tutti i file. Negli esercizi ho importato oltre al prog.io anche import java.util.* e ho inziato creando l'array di figure e ho svolto l'esecizio con lo switch.....solo questo e a me funziona tutto correttamente.

il file jar non è necessariamente da scompattare.
per utilizzarlo basta scrivere una roba tipo:

code:

javac -classpath file.jar classFile.java (per compilare)
java -classpath file.jar classFile (per eseguire)


per sapere come usare le classi che contiene sarebbe utile avere una javadoc che ne illustri i contenuti...

ma coma si fa ad includerlo nel programma.
ad esempio se lo metto in c:\cartella e nel classpath aggiungo c:\cartella cosa scrivo poi nel programma x includerlo?

Io ho solo scompattato il file .jar nella cartella dove salvo gli esercizi del silab e me li ha presi da solo il compilatore......non so se funziona per tutti così!!!!
