Ragazzi..
..la domanda Totale è questa:
l'utilizzo di VMware è obbligatorio e/o implica particolare giudizio
positivo da parte dei docenti? :?
Io vorrei fare un'installazione del sistema operativo linux interamente su un disco del mio PC, evitando di complicarmi la vita con una Virtual Machine...

Se comunque è un vincolo non esplicito no problem, basta esserne a conoscienza.. :-o

No, non è obbligatorio usare WMware e crearsi una macchina virtuale, può fare benissimo come vuoi tu... basta che alla fine hai installato Linux con le direttive che ti danno loro...!

Scusate qualcuno può dirmi qual'è il file system della partizione swap? io lo trovo solo come linux-swap ma se faccio mkfs.linux-swap non lo riconosce.

ma se tu li setti senza montare sda3 poi dopo l'installazione riavvii e ti lascia montare e smontare quello che vuoi!
a me così ha funzionato!

con: cp /mnt/floppy/firma-script.sh /

mi dice che /mnt/floppy/firma-script.sh non è directory
come faccio? aiuto

il comando dovrebbe essere
cp firma-script.sh /mnt/floppy /

ma se firma-script è in floppy come fa ad andarla a prendere così?
comunque con il tuo script mi dice:
cannot stat firma-script.sh: no such file or directory
cannot stat /mnt/floppy: no such file or directory

E' vero... è venuto in mente anche a me prima! Però adesso ZERO VOGLIA... :birrozza: ...domani ci penso e dovrei fare così:

-> installo Mandrake creando solo 5 partizioni sul disco (anzichè 6), e lascio un pezzo di disco "non partizionato" , grosso TOT cilindri quanti me ne servono.

-> una volta terminata l'installazione riavvio e dalla shell creo la sesta partizione (che sarà grossa TOT cilindri che mi servono) e me la monto ( :D ) in una directory "a muzzo" che mi creo io (dopo avergli settato il numero di i-node con mkfs.ext3 -N ....)

...dite che può funzionare?? :?
