che document class usare per scivere la tesi?report o book?

leggendo l'elenco dei "peccati di latex" si dice di usare
scrartcl.cls, scrreprt.cls, scrbook.cls dei KOMA-Script perche' hanno dei margini piu' usali per noi europei..

poi quali sono i pacchetti in italiano da caricare, per gli indici e la sillabazione?

Io ho usato report, 12pt con interlinea 1.2.
Per i pacchetti italiani Babel o T1. Poi graphicx per le immagini e fancy per personalizzare l'aspetto della pagina!
