 [Latex] refresh Tex's DB

nell'installazione di un package x Latex mi trovo scritto di fare un refresh del tex's db, ma non trovo da nessuna parte come caspita si fa a refreshare il db di latex...
qualche suggerimento?

Che versione usi esattamente?

Io uso Miktex sotto windows e faccio così:

Avvio > Programmi > MiKTeX26 > Settings > General > Refresh FNDB

in questo momento uso vi x l'editing perche' sto lavorando in remoto e l'interfaccia grafica mi rallenta troppo... se no uso kile...
non c'e' un comando per fargli fare il refresh?
