 [Help] Cartella /tmp

Ho un problema con il database in localhost.
Il DB Server non sia avvia, mi dice che non trova la .sock per avviarlo e che si trova in
/tmp, ma il file non c'è, forse è invisibile, ma con BBEdit non lo vedo.

Se eliminassi la cartella tmp succede qualcosa?

non posso esserti di grande aiuto, ma perchè vuoi eliminare la cartella /tmp ?
cmq, se il file è invisibile lo puoi vedere con un 

code:

ls -a

da terminale, ovviamente spostandoti prima nella carella in questione. se non lo vei così vuol dire che non c'è!

Mac OS X? viste le affinità con Unix, direi:

touch /tmp/.sock


ma ho il presentimento che, anche se il comando dovesse funzionare, al DB non basterà.

ho dato una rapida okkiata in rete e sembra che tale problema ("cannot find tmp/mysql.sock") sia dovuto ad qualche problema nell'installazione, da quel poco che ho capito...
prova a disinstallare e reinstallare MySql, magari faecendo attenzione alle indicazione sull'installazione se mai ce ne fossero.

Ho gia provato piu di una volta quello e a seguire le indicazioni anche del sito dev.mysql che produce il programma, ma nulla. :(
