 Scheda audio

Ciao a tutti . Ho installato linux sul pc ( Red Hat 8 ) e non riesco ad ascoltare ne i cd audio ne gli mp3 .
Cliccando su "rilevamento scheda audio" , dalle casse viene emesso il suono di test , quindi presumo che la scheda sia stata rilevata ...
Quale può essere il problema ?

non saprei... io riesco ad ascoltare gli mp3 solo con mplayer... ho avuto problemi fin dall'inizio con la mia scheda audio... qualcuno ha consigli?

prima di ricompilare il kernel io verificherei che il tuo player supporta gli mp3, perché se il test audio ha successo significa che all 99% scheda audio e driver NON hanno problemi.

Curiosità: come mai hai installato RH8? Macchina vetusta o unica distro in casa?

ti provo ad aiutarti ma ti dico subito che non sono un esperto!!!
hai provato a guardare il mixer? il mio ha un numero spropositato di voci e mi sono accorto che la voce cd audio era muta, prova a controllare!
io ho fedora C2 e mi funziona la scheda audio, a parte il fatto che devo collegare il jack all'uscita del microfono invece che a quella delle casse...
approposito, se qualcuno sa che devo fare per sistemare sta cosa mi potrebbe aiutare? grazie!!

io ho una sound blaster live! 5.1 e quella integrata (che è morta) è disattivata dal bios...
comunque ieri smanettando un po sono riuscito a farla andare correttamente! prova a fare un giro qui,

ah e guarda bene il mixer e prova ad alzare tutti i livelli del volume!

io avevo sperimentato pblmi nell'uscita/entrata di audio e avevo risolto aggiornando i driver sonori mettendo gli alsa...

cmq provate a ved. se in /var/log/messages ci sono errori di inizializzazione del driver relativo alla scheda sonora, qndo nn mi funzionavano le cose avevo delle "entry" nel file dei log
