[Linux] ssh to tty[n]

E' possibile 'agganciarsi' ad un terminale specifico (/dev/tty[n]) da remoto (via ssh per es.) in modo da ereditare tutti i jobs aperti su quella shell e poterli quindi controllare?

Sto ricompilando kde su un Celeron 266 senza schermo e durante la settimana che viene ogni tanto mi piacerebbe controllare lo stato di avanzamento della cosa senza spostare il monitor :D

Non saprei porprio come fare a forzare l'ssh su una tty, ma in questi casi potrebbe essere comodo mettere la compilazione in uno screen. Cosi' poi con screen -r puoi recuperare lo screen da qualsiasi shell ti logghi, e non hai piu' problemi di dire all'ssh di agganciarsi a una tty particolare.
