non penso che ci sia una sola dir dove le installa... andranno a modificare (od a creare) dei file esistenti.

però se vai installa/rimuovi installazioni le puoi vedere e nel caso eliminarle se non ti vanno più.

Ma prima di installare dovrà salvare da qualche parte il file di installazione... io quello cerco...

Hai idea di quanto possa occupare un SP1? E dovrebbe stare in memoria??? Hai proprio una bassa considerazione dei programmatori MS

Scherzi a parte, il programma di windos update risiede in
C:\Programmi\WindowsUpdate\
gli aggiornamenti vengono scaricati in
C:\WUTemp
fino a quando non sono stati correttamente installati (se capita un errore gli eseguibili/patch rimangono fino alla prossima riapertura di windowsupdate); le informazioni di disinstallazione risiedono in
c:\windows\$nome cartella
(iniziano tutte così, se vi occupa troppo spazio potete spostarle su un cd fino a quando non decidete di cancellarle).

Gli aggiornamenti di office stanno invece in D:\Programmi\OfficeUpdate11\Cabs

I cataloghi aggiornati di volta in volta vengono salvati in c:\windows\system32\CatRoot2 (NON cancellate CatRoot che è quello dei driver standard, invece CatRoot2 può essere cancellato quando vi pare/se avete problemi con wupdate, idem con la cartella principale di WU).

io CatRoot non ce l'ho sotto c:\windoes, ma sotto c:\windows\system32. Poi non ho capito cosa contine e cosa succede se la cancello...me lo spiegheresti?
