 [SLACKWARE] quasi pronta la versione 11

Oggi è stata rilasciata la RC3:

http://www.slackware.com/changelog/current.php?cpu=i386

L'anno scorso la 10 è stata rilasciata in settembre... speriamo :D

Novità significativa: il kernel 2.6.17.x sarà incluso nei pacchetti "extras" e non più in quelli "testing".

Ovviamente è uscita! E' stata rilasciata il 1 ottobre :)

In contemporanea è uscita anche slamd64, porting non ufficiale di Slackware per i sistemi AMD64.

Pare che non ci siano problemi..
Peccato per la reperibilità dei pack, comunque quelli della precedente dovrebbero andare bene(alcuni vanno)..

swaret + checkinstall risolvono parecchi problemi :)

ma quanto è stata incasinata la pagina di swaret su sourceforge??? per trovare la versione stable ho dovuto cercare su google!

Si, quello è il tgz.tar che non ricordo come si "risolveva", ma tanto ci sarà sicuramente scritto(credo)..
Comunque vado a manina, tanto le robe che dovrei mettere sono il minimo indispensabile..
Intanto sto aspettando l'ulteriore NIC per le connessioni dirette e utilizzarlo un pò di più..
Cmq, come rapporto sbattimenti(installazione)/prestazioni(velocità e stabilità) la Slack sta avanti!

per avere qualche pacchetto "extra" date un'occhiata su http://www.slacky.it (ce ne sono davvero tanti).

Se poi voleste provare anche qualcosa a 64bit oltre a Slamd64 esiste BlueWhite64 http://www.bluewhite64.com/news.php (la sto provando da un po' e sto facendo per essa il porting di alcuni pacchetti forniti da Slacky.it)
