ho diversi software di statistiche.. ognuno lavora in modo diverso.. c'è lo script php, il software installato direttamente sul server e poi c'è Webalizer Version 2.01

è attendibile? ovvero mi segna delle statistiche un po altucce che se fossero vere sarei ben contento..

l'ho visto installato anche qui..

voi che ne dite a riguardo?

webalizer è un loganalyzer, cioè piglia in pasto il log combined di apache e tira fuori un po' di stats.
è scritto in c e decisamente ottimizzato. per quanto riguarda l'affidabiltà, che io sappia non storna le entry dovute all'opera di robots web o robe simili, ma conta tutto come "utente".

per quanto riguarda l'utilizzo di uno scrippete in php (ad esempio) incluso in ogni pagina rispetto all'analisi dei log ovviamente non ci sono altre ragioni per preferire la prima ipotesi che l'impossibilità di accedere ai file di log

un altro programmillo ottimo è Awstats, questo in perl.

altrimenti, beh, Webtrends è il meglio del meglio

webtrends e' il meglio? sisi.. anche nei prezzi... LOL

cmq nel conf di webalizer si possono impostare delle opzioni per i bot..

certo conosco anche webtrends..

ho chiesto del Webalizer perchè mi segnava accessi triplicati rispetto agli altri.. ma visto che si basa sui log credo che siano esatti..

un altro molto buono è AWstats http://awstats.sourceforge.net/
mentre come migliore script scritto in PHP certamente PHPSTATS http://www.webmaster76.com/stats/admin.php e non perchè collaboro anche io nel progetto

lo so ma a livello grafico non è il massimo.. va bene che quello che conta sono i contenuti.. ma non è la stessa cosa leggere un file di log puro piuttosto che tutto ben sistemato con grafici

e poi lo so che vi piacciono i grafici

Fermo, allora, analog, con un paio di gif al posto giusto e ben configurato, webalizer ben configurato, e se vuoi mrtg, sempre ben configurato. Cosi' dovresti avere quasi tutto
