 [Aiuto] Formato PAL

comincio confessando la mia suprema ignoranza in materia.

Il problema è questo: sto meditando se comprare o meno un gioco da ebay, poi ho notato nella descrizione dell'oggetto: "Formato: PAL (UK)".... panico: che significa, in termini pratici? Ricordo vagamente che il formato PAL c'entrava qualcosa con tv e videocassette, ma non ho la più vaga idea di che cosa indichi riferito a un gioco per PC.

Fondamentalmente: se lo compro, funziona o potrebbero sorgere casini di ogni genere?

Grazie, chiedo scusa per l'intrinseca idiozia della domanda ^^

Infatti proprio perche' li vedi in Tv che puo' avere standard di trasmissione diversi
PAL, PLA/SECAM, NTCS.

Proprio come per le videocassette e dvd.
Quindi come ha detto Req mi pare strano che sia per PC.

il PAL è uno standard per il video televisivo usato in Europa, tranne che in Francia (dove usano il SECAM), che si differenzia dal NTSC, usato in USA e Giappone. Se viene indicato come caratteristica del gioco, si vede che è per console, in quanto utilizza una tv.

improbabile... è world of warcraft, che essendo mmorpg dubito sia per console... a parte questo, è chiaramente indicato Platform: PC.... boh

ho giocato la beta americana ed era proprio bello.... ho fatto 14 livelli in cinque giorni poi è finita :(
