 Thunderbird-hotmail

ho installato thunderbird e vorrei inserire un account che ho su hotmail...ma meraviglia delle meraviglie non mi vede il server pop hotmail..
ho messo pop.hotamil.com -->sbagliato
copiato ed incollato quello che avevo nelle impostazioni di outlook ma nisba anche con quello (con outlook funziona però)...

che faccio?

Hotmail non utilizza POP3 et similia

A quanto ne so usa un protocollo suo e solo programmi come Outlook express (ovvero made by M$) sono compatibili.

Hotmail è diverso dagli altri account.


gli altri usano POP, SMTP o IMAP che sono standard moooooolto diffusi.

M$ ovviamente non si è adeguata e ha fatto x i fatti suoi.

Non potrai accedere da Thunderbird a meno che non usi qualcosa del genere di Hotmail popper

consiglio vivamente di usare freepops... accede via html alle mail e le scarica sul tuo pc offrendo un pop al quale collegarsi con thunderbird e simili... funziona anche con libero e gmail... ;)

Sto impazzendo da diversi giorni e solo oggi usando outlook scopro questa cosa...

Impossibile connettersi a Hotmail come xxxxxx@hotmail.com.

Hotmail non concede più l'accesso alla posta elettronica tramite Outlook Express ad account di posta elettronica gratuiti.
