Ho win xp home e volevo installare anche il 2000 (su un'altra unità), ma inserendo il cd mi dice che ho una versione di windows più recente ed è impossibile fare l'installazione...
Come aggiro questo problema?

Ci sono altre cose che dovrei sapere per l'installazione di un secondo sistema operativo?

io risolvo tutti questi problemi con xosl

si tratta di un bootloader che ti permette di fare il partition hiding ossia di nascondere le partizioni.

in questo modo puoi fare vedere al SO quello che vuoi tu; ad esempio io ho 2 windows xp (uno per fare esperimenti e l'altro da usare) e riesco a metterli su due partizioni separate, l'uno è infisibile all'altro ed entrambi si vedono installati su c

per installare xosl xò devi creare una partizione primaria da 8 mb quindi devi rivoluzionare un po le cose... se hai tempo e voglia credo sia la soluzione migliore

grazie, ho letto un po', però mi sembra una cosa abbastanza lunga e complessa... (ci vorrebbero appunto tempo e voglia )

Non c'è qualche metodo più veloce considerando che ho 2 HD, uno con C: (e win xp), e l'altro già con 3 partizioni?

Copia i dati che ti servono su una partizione libera, formatta C:, installa Win2000 e poi installa WinXp.

Questa soluzione sembra decisamente più pratica!
Se faccio così mi basta scegliere un percorso diverso per non fare sovrascrivere win 2k con l'xp ?

Fai attenzione che, al momento di installare WinXp, potresti trovarti a dover spuntare una qualche opzione che ti permetta di scegliere la partizione in cui installare il S.O. durante... l'installazione (non c'è un sinonimo di installare/installazione?). Magari non c'è... ma fai attenzione, altrimenti sovrascrive.

Comunque la guida stessa di winzozz consiglia sempre di installare i vari sistemi operativi micro$oft cominciando dal più vecchio...
