ambiente di sviluppo

Mi consigliereste un ambiente di sviluppo per c da usare su windows xp pro?
se va bene anche per altri linguaggi ancora meglio!
(ora sto usando blocco note con gcc compilando ed eseguendo dalla linea di comando)
