help wireless linux

ciao gente, ho installato linux sul portatile ma non riesco a capire come mai non funzioni la connessione wireless.... la scheda viene riconosciuta, si connette regolarmente alla rete, network manager mi dice che son connesso senza darmi nessun errore, il problema però è che non naviga... il browser rimane fermo, idem quando provo a pingare dalla konsole... puo essere un problema di dns?
ps ho un router filare a cui arriva la linea in ingresso e poi al router ho connesso un modem wireless philips... qualcono mi sa dare una mano?

Se no e se hai un dhcpd attivo,

dhcpcd interfaccia_wireless

oppure

dhclient interfaccia_wireless
