Hosting vs Server dedicato

Avrei bisogno di un consiglio... attualmente ho un sito operante su un server dedicato vecchiotto e che costa 1300 euro l'anno. Dovrei aggiungere il supporto a Sql Server 2005 che tirerebbe su il prezzo a 1700 euro circa.

Ho trovato invece con un altro provider un piano tutto compreso, ma in hosting, a 1200 euro circa.

Contando che le caratteristiche sono simili (banda, traffico mensile) e che non abbiamo bisogno di grande spazio su disco (non installiamo neanche roba aggiuntiva) cosa ci perdiamo passando all'hosting?

Da quel che mi sembra di capire, avere un server dedicato ti permette di far girare anche programmi tuoi oltreché servizi web (via HTTP, per intenderci).

Esatto, cosa che noi non avremmo necessariamente bisogno.

Mi sapete consigliare un hosting su Windows Server 2003 con supporto Asp.NET 2.0 e preferibilmente SQL Server 2005 (anche la versione 2000 o MySql potrebbero andare bene)?!

Altre caratteristiche sono un traffico mensile alto (>50GB), una buona banda garantita, molte caselle e-mail...

HELP!

P.S.: limite di prezzo annuale, 1000 eurozzi circa!
