Problemi con IsoLinux

In questi giorni sto sperimentando alcuni problemi con IsoLinux, che si verificano solo con determinate distribuzioni.
Per fare il boot utilizzo un lettore cd esterno collegato via USB al mio portatile... non appena scelto di avviare da cd, parte IsoLinux ma con alcune distribuzioni si ferma prima di caricare l'installer.
Ad esempio Ubuntu funziona, ma Debian no. Red Hat funziona, ma VectorLinux no.

Da cosa può dipendere questa cosa? Dalla capacità di fare il boot da cd rom esterno usb?

Se il problema è causato da ISOLINUX, può darsi che differenti distribuzioni usino differenti versioni...
Conviene cercare di risalire alla versione di ISOLINUX utilizzata, e controllare il changelog per eventuali segnalazioni di bugs risolti
