non sapendo cos'è successo in precedenza, un computer con windows xp parte con questo errore:
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

in caso si parta con Windows normalmente:
*** STOP: 0x0000000ED (0x80E95970,0xc0000032,0x00000000,0x00000000)

in caso si parta in modalità provvisoria:
*** STOP: 0x0000000ED (0x80E30830,0xc0000032,0x00000000,0x00000000)

cercando in internet ho trovato varie soluzioni, ma prevedono tutte la formattazione del disco, se io devo salvare i dati cosa devo fare?

vi è già capitato?

WinPE
Una distribusione live di windows (ovviamene non ufficiale). Funziona molto bene, l'ho usato proprio oggi per la prima volta.
Ti permette di accedere a tutti i tuoi device (disco compreso).

Altrimenti, usa una qualsiasi versione Live di linux (knoppix?).

Una volta nella console, proverei un fixboot.
Hai solo Windows installato su quel disco?
