utlimamente le versioni di mplayer pacchettizzate fanno abbastanza pietà. Ti suggerirei di ricompilartelo: andando a memoria, su un pentium II 200 MHz ci vuole poco meno di 1 ora per fare tutto. Probabilmente ne vale la pena

C'è una versione (probabilmente ridotta) scaricabile aggratis, il fatto è che continua a collegarsi a vari siti del network Real. Fastidioso, ma una volta scaricati i filmati gli blocco l'accesso ad Internet e sono a posto

ma quando scarico i file .smil dal sito del dico, cercando di aprirli appare un avviso "Errore generale"

Andando a vedere in fondo al file trovi i link agli stream video della lezione ad esempio :

Ok risolto anch'io, ma solo per la visualizzazione in streaming :S

Se scarico in video su ubuntu mi da sempre errore generale sia che modifico il parametro sia che non lo modifico... Idee????

Sono sotto ubuntu 10.10, real player 11.

Sia modificando 0,17 oppure 0,17s non cambiava nulla...

Quindi ho pensato, che visto che con il file in streaming, modificando quel parametro si risolveva "tutto", ho copiato il contenuto del file .smil che si scarica in locale per vedere il video in streaming (che è diverso da quello che si ottiene scaricando in locale tutto il video [e non ho idea il perchè]) e l'ho spostato nella cartella dei file in locale, modificando opportunamente il percorso dei video e modificando il famoso parametro che ha scoperto virtual.

Ma bisogna fare tutto questo "casino" ogni qualvolta bisogna vedere un video con realplayer dell'uni su UBUNTU?.....

Boh, a me da errore. Solo realplay riesce a leggere i file .smil e solo se opportunamente modificato come scritto sopra...
