[NTFS] E' affidabile sotto linux?

Ragazzi, avrei bisogno di montare una partizione ntfs sotto linux, sia in lettura che in scrittura... ma non mi fido!

Tempo fa di sicuro il sistema era inaffidabile soprattutto in scrittura e potevano esserci problemi, ora non sono molto informato a riguardo, il sistema è migliorato?

La versione del driver che ho è:
NTFS driver 2.1.25 [Flags: R/O].
NTFS volume version 3.1.

Su kernel:
2.6.15-gentoo-r1

Mi interessa giusto se tale driver è affidabile in scrittura...

a quanto ne so il driver ntfs continua a essere sperimentale e quindi non mi sentirei di dire che è affidabile, però non so, sinceramente, non ho mai provato

Kernel 2.6.16, help dell'opzione NTFS write support:

This enables the partial, but safe, write support in the NTFS driver.
The only supported operation is overwriting existing files, without changing the file length. No file or directory creation, deletion or renaming is possible. Note only non-resident files can be written to so you may find that some very small files (<500 bytes or so) cannot be written to.
While we cannot guarantee that it will not damage any data, we have so far not received a single report where the driver would have damaged someones data so we assume it is perfectly safe to use.

Project implements the first full read/write free access to NTFS disk drives. You can mount your Microsoft Windows NT, 200x or XP partition as a transparently accessible volume for your GNU/Linux.

This compatibility was achieved in the Wine way by using the original Microsoft Windows ntfs.sys driver. Io l'ho sempre usato anche in scrittura senza problemi!Non ho mai avuto problemi ma come dice NoWhereMan è ancora sperimentale
