Azz, non pensavo non fosse possibile gestire un ingresso audio per la registrazione... questo cambia nettamente le cose...

eh lo so è molto limitante, infatti Reason è stato criticato anche per questo. fai le tue considerazioni, ripeto, è un ottimo software (anche se qualche legittima riserva la si può muovere...).

guarda, se hai dubbi fai prima a scaricarti la demo che sicuramente permette di farsi un'idea piuttosto precisa:

alla fine è come l'originale con meno suoni inclusi, con il save disabilitato e dopo 20 minuti quitta. sufficiente cmq per valutare il prodotto.

This is very very interessante!! Mi piacciono molto i Summoning...

Sarebbe interessante sapere cosa usano i VnV Nation ad esempio... sul loro sito magari c'è scritto ma ora non ho voglia di andare a cercare...

già, okkio però che di solito i pro non si limitano certo ad usare un programma... ad esempio certo i Prodigy useranno Reason, ma assime a Reason pure un lungo elenco di hardware e software (compresi sintetizzatori analogici vintage) professionale, costoso ed assortito.
ad esempio, nel video "this baby got a temper" facevano bella mostra di un Moog "Prodigy" (sì il synth si chiamava come la band)... niente di rarissimo o stracostoso, ma tanto per far capire che le band elettroniche usano un po' di tutto!

dei Venetian Snares avevo sentito qualcosa ma non mi dissero molto, proverò ad ascoltare i DAT...

a me piacciono ad esempio gli Autechre, o gli Atari Teenage Riot, per dirne un paio.
anni fà mi piacevano anche i Chemical Brothers, ma poi secondo me hanno perso qualcosa...

A me piaciono i gruppi un pò "tamarri" tipo: Covenant, IconOfCoil, Front Line Assembly, VnV Nation, Combichrist, etc
Oppure "non tamarri" come Kraftwerk, Air, Stereolab

Non sò bene neanche io il perchè... dato che non è il tipo di musica che mi sento portato ad ascoltard

tornando sul discorso del "fare", mi sono dimenticato di chiarire una cosa importante: usare software per fare musica, ma per live o produzioni?

per produrre, e quindi attuare il concetto molto in voga da una decina di anni di "home studio", si hanno con in sw in giro delle soluzioni eccellenti.
per suonare live un po' meno secondo me... e non solo per il discorso stabilità. certo, ci sono sw che, con una buona superficie di controllo midi, si prestano pure alla performance (tre i quali appunto Reason, Fruityloops ecc.) ma sono a mio avviso piuttosto limitati.
Mooolto meglio secondo me una di queste nuove groovebox con campionatore integrato, come la Roland MC-909.

nuovo sui 2000 €, ma si può trovare anche usato magari con la ram già espansa al max tra i 1200 ed i 1500 credo... è una bella cifra ma è una macchina top-of-the-line.

non sono noccioline ma considerando che con il software pro si arriva facilmente a queste cifre... poi il sw ha la simpatica caratteristica di mantenere il suo valore come neve al sole :asd:

in realtà cmq sono considerazioni che lasciano il tempo che trovano, dato che le due soluzioni sono diametralmente opposte: con il sw produci dischi ma non suoni live, con la groovebox suoni live alla grande ma di certo non puoi avere il livello di editing e di controllo sul mix che hai sul computer...

sempre in tema groovebox un buon acquisto per chi si vuol fare le ossa secondo me è il predecessore della suddetta macchina, la Roland MC-505:

con circa 500€ ne porti a casa una usata, non hai il campionatore ma hai un sacco di suoni pronti all'uso e belli tosti. puoi farci delle ottime basi, che nessuno ti vieta di registrare su pc (con sw di registrazione multitraccia, che trovi anche gratis) per poi fare pezzi più elaborati. ovviamente sempre in un ottica di utilizzo prevalentemente live cmq.
