[MP3] VBR to CBR

Sto convertendo una serie di files mp3 (vbr) nei rispettivi cbr; mi chiedevo se ci fosse una "formuletta" o tabella comparativa a riguardo.
Nel senso: ho un file vbr a 256kbit, fino a quanti kbit potrei spingermi sul cbr? Presumo meno ma non ho idea di quanto..un 192cbr andrebbe bene o รจ solo spreco? :?
