Volevo chiedere a voi utenti e fruitori del web qual tipo di strumento utilizzate per creare la grtafica dei vostri siti.
Utilizzata photoshop o sw particolari?

Avete guide tutorial da consigliarmi?

Io uso Photoshop.
E uso vari programmini freeware per creare bottoni ecc...

Cmq tendo a fare poco uso della grafica, anche perche' non sono un mago del disegno.

Mi limito a pulsanti e barre, per il resto CSS e foto da siti dedicati.

Photoshop è sempre la scelta migliore... altrimenti puoi provare Gimp, che ha il grande pregio di essere gratuito.

Fare un template come quelli di http://www.freewebtemplates.com/ non vuol dire usare SOLO photoshop o SOLO Dreamweaver. Io quando creo un sito prima sviluppo la struttura (CSS, menu', eventuali rollover, loghi, immagini, ecc...) e mi salvo una copia della pagina vuota proprio col nome template.ESTENSIONE. Da qui parto per creare tutte le altre, stessa cosa per le immagini.

Esempio: Se ho bisogno di 5 pulsanti uguali, del tipo "Home" "Page1""Page2" "Mail" "Links" creo un pulsante vuoto con una scritta dummy (tipo "TEXT HERE") e la salvo in formato PSD. All'occorrenza cambio il testo e salvo in formato jpg, in modo che possa essere usata online.
Spero di aver capito il senso della tua domanda.

quello che voglio dire è: come lo faccio il disegno del template utilizzando photoshop? quali strumenti devo utilizzare? ...non so se sono stato abbastanza chiaro...

Photoshop + ImageReady

Con Photoshop crei il template del tuo sito usando tutti gli effetti che vuoi, dopodichè usi lo strumento "Sezioni per livelli" che crea una sezione a partire da ogni livello del tuo template. Dopodichè aggiusti le sezioni che non ti servono, oppure quelle che devono essere unite o ulteriormente divise. A questo punto importi la stessa image in Imageready che ti permette di raffinare il salvataggio in sezioni (scegliendo ad esempio se usare il formato gif o jpg, con quale qualità, ecc...), creare gli effetti di rollover e altri che coinvolgono javascript/dhtml... alla fine puoi usare l'opzione "Salva per web" e vedere creata la tua bella pagina html con tutte le immagini al posto giusto.

Qui per me inizia il lavoro...

Fireworks è un'arma a doppio taglio, nel senso che ti consente di creare senza tanti sbattimenti grafica ed effetti carini, ma in realtà se non hai abbastanza conoscenze di html low-level per "tenerlo a bada" ti ritrovi enormi assurdità sia nel codice che nelle immagini (ho visto gente che aveva il testo del sito salvato come .gif... ma dai!).
